Newsletter
The latest newsletter, Fall 2010, is available as an
electronic copy and focuses on our 43rd Annual Conference
being held on October 22, 2010, at
Central Ohio Technical
College.
University System of
Ohio
The
University System
of Ohio was
launched in August 2007 to promote Ohio's network of public colleges
and universities--which includes 13 universities with 24 branch
campuses, a public medical school, and 23 two-year technical and
community colleges--working in a collaborative, cooperative environment
across the state.
OACC
Information for trustees of Ohio's two-year colleges is provided by
the Ohio Association of Community
Colleges
which was founded in 1993 as a forum for sound trustee training,
communication, and trustee-president cooperation. The OACC Faculty
Symposium is being held on March 4 and 5 of this year in Dublin, OH.
See the web site for more information.
OFSCTC
The Ohio Faculty Senate of
Community and Technical Colleges, established in 1995, is made up of
representatives chosen by the faculty from each two-year college in
Ohio. The OFSCTC, which meets five times annually in the
offices of the Regents, provides the voice and perspective of the
two-year faculty to the Chancellor and Regents on the relevant issues
facing higher education.
AACC
The American Association of
Community Colleges is the primary national advocacy organization for
community colleges, with the mission of "building a nation of learners."
Historical Slide Show
Please enjoy a short
historical slide show of photos showing the growth of Ohio's
two-year college system. This slide show was compiled for our 40th anniversary
conference (2007) by Board member Vicki Rostedt and her team at Summit
College of the University of Akron.
